Mood Music - The Beautiful Lie

In anticipation of another chapter being released for "The Beautiful Lie" at some point in the near future, I thought I'd put forth a little listing of songs that I've found particularly inspiring/important for this story.

Why? Because a lot of people generally seem to like this story and if they're anything like me, they like to listen to music when they read. And better, they like to listen to music that appropriately suits the story.

So I thought this might help a bit.

BTW, this post will be updated as the story progresses as more music proves to be inspirational/helpful.

Oh, and for anyone who doesn't know, "The Beautiful Lie" is an AR Bleach fanfiction that takes place years in the future after the war and it stars Ichigo, Kisuke, and Sousuke along with lots of angst and slash. The summary I've given is "Years after the war, the echoes of war still prove their influence, and Ichigo comes home to find a dead man in his kitchen".  It sounds like it might be a parody or a comedy, but trust me, it's not. You can find it on ff.net, aff.net or my homesite, but you're best bet is to go to ff.net (fanfiction.net/~dracoqueen22) where it's easiest to find.

Don't have the song or would like it? Let me know and I'll use mediafire to get you a copy.

Of course, first on the list, is the song that inspired the entire story, "The Beautiful Lie," by 30 Seconds to Mars. This song helped me write the first ten chapters of the fanfiction alone. And it's the main theme song. "Forsaken," by Disturbed and Korn also serves as a good theme song.

"Unknown Soldier," by Breaking Benjamin and "Toy Soldiers' by Martika were very helpful for scenes that referred to the past or the horrible war that everyone endured.

"Dear Agony" also by Breaking Benjamin  and "Hurt" by Thousand Foot Krutch were instrumental in writing several scenes where either Kisuke or Ichigo were in need of comfort.

"Animal I Have Become," by Three Days Grace, "Staring Down the Barrel of a 45," by Shinedown, and "Anatomy of a Tidal Wave" by Cold were also strong inspirations for scenes with Ichigo struggling to make his decisions while haunted by the past and the prison of his present.

"Earthquake," by the Used was on constant repeat for the writing of chapter twenty-one, which is Kisuke's POV. But you won't understand why until that chapter get's posted so I'll comment more on this later.

I'm sure there will be more songs in the future. These are just a few to get ya started.

Well, does this sort of posting interest anyone? I've got a whole tracklist for The Requiem of Janus, too that I might post if you'd like to continue seeing these.
